Verse.ning.com: an experiment in the social construction of poems

I would like to announce an experimental website for the easy creation of collaborative poetry: Verse.ning.com (pronounced like "worsening"):



It's easy to start new poems and, more importantly, contribute lines to poems that other people have started. As shown in the screenshot above, there's a line editor that follows your mouse around, letting you insert verses wherever you like. You can also type in your name if you want to be credited for your work.

  1. It's an interesting idea, but no one has over shown me compelling evidence that better poetry is written by a crowd...
