[Windows] Microsoft Agent Charcter for "Mike" (AT&T Natural Voices)
If anyone has purchased one of the great sounding AT&T Natural Voices and needs a Microsoft Agent character (e.g., for mIRC text-to-speech), here's an msagent for the Mike voice, created using Microsoft Agent Character Editor.
I personally find that I really love the UK voice Daniel from Scansoft now Nuance. I think it is the most natural sounding voice I've found. In addition, it's great to also get Chinese voices. I even got a Cantonese voice and a Mandarin voice all purchased from TextAloud. I'm very happy with them because they all sound very realistic and not robotic at all.

ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about the Nuance voices.
ReplyDeleteFound a great utility called Peter's Text To Speech that can control the TTS engine from the command line; for example:
ReplyDeleteecho "Merge now?" | "c:\program files\jampal\ptts" -voice "ATT DTNV1.4 Mike16"
